Valencia

The name itself conjures images of sun, oranges and sand. It enjoys 320 glorious sunshine days a year. Its original Latin name was Valentia, meaning ‘strength’ or ‘valour’. Today it represents the essence of contemporary Spain, daring design and architecture along with experimental cuisine, yet remains conservative and proud of its traditions.

Valencia

It is a perfect place to live, to enjoy the River Gardens, sit at a cafe or explore the mountains and fields that surround the city.

Valencia Javea

From its founding by Rome over 2000 years ago it has been fiercely contested by Visigoths, Moors and Christian Kingdoms who all fought over the sunny fertile plain that makes up and surrounds Valencia.

Valencia’s port is a busy export centre and also receives an increasing number of cruise ships.
